First, you want it,
Then, you get it.
But it’s different from your wants
Transfixed like Moses
You have to decide before you sink
Moving forward may seem right,
But doing it gives a real fright.
They say adulthood is scam,
But teenagehood is hard and trash.
You’re pushed back and forth
Like a pendulum
Retrieving your childhood experience,
Forget fears and secure tomorrow
But now, you can’t turn back the hands of time.
Once a toddler, never a toddler.
An escape route you wish for
To sneak out of this jungle.
Disappointedly, none is found.
The pressures are inevitable,
Expectations are high
To survive means to adapt
To thrive you need to be alert
For those that survive the storm of pressure
Are the unbeatables, that trained from the scratch.
This truly talks about pressure and how it affect the lives of teenagers.
