At Expressions Journal, we believe in the power of youth voices. We are a dynamic content portal dedicated to high school students in Nigeria, providing you with a platform to express your thoughts, creativity, and opinions on a wide range of subjects. Our mission is to empower you, encourage your artistic and literary talents, and guide you in your career development journey.

Our Founding Editor, Basit Olatunji, is a Nigerian poet, essayist and teacher with over a decade experience, teaching English and Literature in high schools in Lagos, Nigeria. He has a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in English Literature. He is also currently a PhD student at University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He believes that there is a widening gap between secondary and tertiary education in Nigeria that needs to be closed urgently in order to secure the future of the Nigerian school system. This is why he has relentlessly dedicated his time and energy to the grooming and mentoring of high school students that will be fit to undertake the challenges of university education.
